016 Kini Adalah Maxis
I had been trying to switch from DiGi Postpaid to Hotlink when Mobile Number Portability (MNP) came out. Yesterday I finally switched to Maxis successfully.
At first, I try to use Maxis MNP online to switch. But unfortunately, I key in wrongly on my first & only submission. I didn′t select my current service provider & remain it as default selection which is Celcom. Then it let me submit without showing me any verify my details page. After that, I want to try another submission since I know my first submission is wrong, but I failed to do so, it keep telling me that my mobile number had submitted previously. After 1 month fails retrying to submit the form, I finally give up & decide to go to a Maxis store to do switching.
Here another tricky story. The first Maxis store I asked said: "DiGi Postpaid only can switch to Maxis. You need to change to DiGi Prepaid first before you can switch to Hotlink". Then I go to a nearby DiGi store ask them whether I can change my Postpaid to Prepaid, their answer is: "No". WTF, how can I switch to Hotlink then? Ok, nvm, I try to ask another Maxis store, this time they said: "DiGi Postpaid can switch to Maxis or Hotlink, but you need to go to settle all your bills first". Hmm, both Maxis telling me different thing, after think for a while, I feel like lazy to go to settle my bill, just give the first Maxis store a try, and switch to Maxis lo.
In the end, it spends two working days to switch to Maxis. First day I received a SMS telling me that Maxis had received my switch request, then the second day I received few SMS from both Maxis & DiGi telling me both service provider are processing my request & give me an estimate time when it will be switch over. I am pretty happy with the fast process.
